Steve Dorer

Born October 16, 1969, in Jackson, Michigan, to proud parents Joe and Sandy (deceased) Dorer, Steve graduated from Coldwater High School in 1987, and from ITT Technical Institute in 1991 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, before moving to Lakeland, Florida in 1992, where he currently resides in the winter months, returning to the mid-west each summer to race.

When asked why he got into racing, “My dad, Joe Dorer, raced late models in Indiana and Michigan while I was growing up, so I have been around racing my whole life. He was my hero growing up!”
