Earl Miles Jr. career started in 1979 with his first race at Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, Michigan. He is still racing full seasons at area short tracks. Other than owner/driver, he has built his own motors, his own chassis, and has designed his own fabrications to enhance speed and handling. He started watching racing as a young boy. His grandfather and uncle raced cars at Jackson Motor Speedway and Manchester Speedway. Earl was born December 19, 1954.

Earl was born in Jackson Michigan and has lived in Michigan all of his life. His passion for racing is like no other. He spends countless hours in his shop working on his cars and those of others. He is one of the most generous persons. He is known to loan out tools, or go over to a fellow competitor to help them work on their cars.

Highlights of Earl Miles Jr. Racing Career
1979 - First race at Butler Motor Speedway, won Rookie of the Year
1982 - Raced Ionia County Speedway, finished 2nd place in season point standings. Raced Steuben County Speedway, finished 4th in season point standings.
1983 - Raced Ionia County Speedway, finished 2nd place in season point standings. Raced Steuben County Speedway. Sportsman of the Year.
1985-1989 - Raced Steuben County, Baer Field, and Avilla Speedways in Indiana. Raced Spartan, Galesburg, and Tri-City Speedways in Michigan. Raced in London Canada. Finished 3rd in point standings in 1987 at Steuben.
1994 - Raced Limited Late Model at Michigan Ideal Speedway. Track Champion, Track Record Holder (set 9 new track records), Fastest Qualifier every night.
1995 - This was Earl’s best year of racing, and his most memorable feat. The results after 21 weeks of racing and 27 trips to victory lane: In the Limited Late Model he won 9 feature wins (including 5 in a row), I-CAR modified 4 feature wins, Dwarf Car 4 feature wins. At Michigan Ideal Speedway he won Track Champion in Limited Late Model. At Spartan Speedway he won Track Champion in I-CAR Modified. Winner and fastest qualifier of the Harvest 100 race at Spartan in the modified.
1996 - Raced I-Car Modified Division Touring Series, Raced Spartan Speedway, 2nd in season point standings, modified.
1997-2000 - Raced Modified Division at various tracks.
2001-2002 - Took a break from racing. Raced a partial season in 2003 at Spartan Speedway.
2004 - Raced Tri-City Speedway, Spartan Speedway, and Springport Speedway.
2005 - Track Champion Springport Speedway. Raced Spartan Speedway.
2008 - Track Champion Springport Speedway. 2009 winner of Mid Season Championship Mid Michigan Speedway. (track closed after mid season).
2010 - Raced Whittemore Speedway, Whittemore Michigan. Won Australian Pursuit, Heat Race, and Feature all in one night. Finished 7th in points.
2012 - Track Champion Springport Speedway, Modified Division
2013 - Track Champion Springport Speedway, Modified Division
